Creative Dance for Kids

The joy of movement is at the heart of it all. Children are given the opportunity to playfully explore their bodies while learning the basics of rhythm, spatial awareness, and fundamental dance principles. Through stories, images, music, and small creative tasks, we spark their imagination while also supporting body awareness, coordination, and expressive abilities. As they grow in confidence and body awareness, the children are ready to explore the first elements of contemporary dance. Floor work, swinging movements, and contrasts like heavy/light or fast/slow are introduced in a playful way. Through improvisation and small movement tasks, they develop their own ideas, learn to structure their movements, dance in groups, pay attention to each other, and express themselves together through dance.

Contemporary Dance for Kids

This course is all about enjoying movement while continuing to explore the world of contemporary dance. Children become more aware of their bodies and learn to move with greater intention – sometimes strong, sometimes soft, fast or slow. We practice basic dance techniques, explore the space together, and work with floor movements, momentum, and different movement qualities. It's not about right or wrong, but about how movement feels – and what it can express. Creativity plays a central role: through small improvisations and their own movement ideas, the children find their personal approach to dance. They develop short dance pieces, dance in groups, and experience the joy of creating something together – with imagination, expression, and fun.

Contemporary Dance for Teens

Things get exciting here: the focus is on the body, movement, and expression – sometimes wild, sometimes calm, sometimes inwardly focused or shared with the group. Contemporary dance techniques are deepened, and greater awareness of dynamics, space, and presence is developed. The emphasis is on working with choreography, which requires both technical skill and creative expression. Technical elements such as precise posture, weight shifts, and the interplay of tempo and movement are further refined. Dancers learn to coordinate as a group, develop dance pieces together, and bring a sense of community into their movements. A strong team spirit grows through dance and collaboration.
